August 18th, 2004 I am very proud to have the board-stamp of the USCG lightship Nantucket WLV-612 in my collection.
August 15th, 2004 There is another English lightvessel in Amsterdam today: lightvessel no. 94. It seems that it will be part of a new maritime museum in Northern-Amsterdam in the near future. If anyone has news, I would be pleased about an e-mail.
August 14th, 2004 The former English lightvessel no. 12 can be found in Amsterdam today. It is in very good condition. Does anyone know more about the future of this lightship?
August 13th, 2004 If you are fascinated by lightships and you are looking for the right place in Copenhagen (Denmark) to have dinner, than you are exactly right at the former Danish Motorfyrskib No. II, which is a summer restaurant ship today.
August 10th, 2004 The former Danish lightship "Fyrskib nr. XIII" is used as a residential ship in Copenhagen (Denmark) today. Read here, what I found out about this very special looking ship.

August 7th, 2004

For the hot summer days, here is a new short "tall story" to smile about - enjoy it!

July 24th, 2004 In churches of ports often ship models can be found - the
so-called "votive ships". I found models of lightships in three churches. If someone of you knows other churches with lightship models, I would be pleased about an e-mail.
July 10th, 2004 The former Swedish Lightship No. 28 FALSTERBOREV had been a restaurant vessel for many years in Belgium, after it had been decommissioned. In 2002 it had been towed to Le Havre (France) to be used again as a restaurant vessel, but plans failed. Today it is still in Le Havre, but it is in very bad condition and needs restoration.
