This is a 1:100 modell of the German lightship FEHMARNBELT. It is a static model with a complete hull.

The model can normally be found on board of the lightship FEHMARNBELT, which is during the winter month a museum vessel in Luebeck (Germany) and during the summer months on tour along the Baltic Sea coast.

In 1984, Christoph Ruediger a crewmember of the lightship built it from the original building plans mainly from cardboard, plastic and metal. The lighthsip is built like the original at the time of decommission. I.e. the hull in dayglow colours, the light, the identification K2 etc. The model is illuminated as On Station (anchor lights, lantern) and On Way.
