This
is a modell of the English Lightvessel South Goodwin
built by Paolo Saccenti.
He is a member of a R/C model ship association based in Milano Italy.
They are a group of about 30 passionates
of radio controlled yachts, ships and submarines.

The
model is derived from the static Revell kit:
Trinity House Lightship South Goodwin.
It has been provided with a complete RC equipment, including the following:
- Electric motor and gear box to the propeller shaft
(that was not installed on the real ship)
- Speed regulator of the motor
- Six Ni M Hi rechargeable batteries size AAA. 800 mA/h
- Electronic fog horn with loud speaker
- Powered rotating light with E- motor.
- Four channel 40 MHz receiver
- No 1 micro servo for the rudder
- No 1 micro servo for the light and horn switching.
Total No 3 channels.
Notes: The rotating equipment of the light has been done using the
E-motor of a CD player and a plastic gear taken from a toy. The propulsion
motor has been recovered from a faulted standard servo, the gearbox
is done using the first two gears of the servo.
The time to build the kit has been around 100 hours.
