History:

1907-1985

"Gårdyb" station

1985 Decommissioned and solt to the shipping company Thomas Brocklebank. In the following years used as a houseboat named "Store Klaus" in Copenhagen at the Islands Brygge. It was painted light blue during that times. Later the ship was fitted with an engine and a propeller at Nyborg Skibsværft.
1989-1992


renamed to "Return of Marco Polo", painted in bright white and used for circumnavigation

1994 the Ring Andersens Værft in Svendborg restored the ship to a three masted schooner. The new home port is Hull in England
bis 1998 used as a sailing ship in English waters
2000

The ship returned to Denmark. In 2000 it is berthed at the A/S Hvide Sande Skibs- og Bådebyggeri and is in worth condition.


The lantern of the lightship can today be found at the Fiskeri- og Søfartsmuseet in Esbjerg.

 

2010 The wooden ship was scrapped in Hvide Sande in 2010.
