History:

September 1935 ordered by Trinity House, London

16.06.1936 handed over to Trinity House, London, initially on Cockle station. the lightship was an oil lit ship with a latern raised on the mast, which was a second-hand one fron the earlier LV 26

1950 converted to electric light

1950-1977 Corton" and "Cork" station

January 1977 sold to the Norwich Sea Cadets for use as a Sea Cadet Corps training ship at Norwich and renamed in T.S. Lord Nelson. The lightvessel now lacks mast and latern, the latter having been placed at LV 87 in Ipswich

October 2004 the lightship should be painted BLUE and berthed in Rochester now. I would be very happy to have an up-to-date photo of her
