My name is Iris and I live in Northern Germany at the Baltic Sea near the City of Kiel. My favorite hobby is all about lightships from all around the world. I am interested in their history, pictures and postcards and technical information about them. So most of our free time we are traveling around to visit the few lightships that are still preserved and meet other lightship enthusiasts.

Besides I am collecting everything concerning lightships, such as books, videos, photographs, postcards, models, stamps, telephone cards, magazines, posters, bulbs and all other lightvessel memorabilia. If you are interested in exchanging or selling lightship items please contact me.

My interest in this special kind of ship started some years ago, when more and more lightships had been taken out of commission and their destinies became uncertain.
