Today the English tug CHRISTINE towed the former Danish fyrskib nr. X, which was used as restaurant ship "Lightship Ten" in London for the last years, through the Kiel Canal to Copenhagen. Photos can be found here and here. If anyone of you knows more about the plans for the future of the lightship, I would be grateful for an e-mail.
This seems to be the tower of a war lightship. Who knows which one it is? This photo was taken at the Adria and the ship should have been a lightship in its first live. Does anyone know if this is true? This picture was taken in Dunkirk. It shows what is apparently a former lightship. There is however no name on the hull, nor any indication what the ship is used to be. Seen the state of the ship it must have been in the French port for quite a while. Do you know which former lightship this might have been? The Danish motorlightship no. II was towed away from Copenhagen by a tug from Poland at the 29th of September 2006. It is said, that it is in Poland for overhaul today. Who knows more? Does anyone of you know more about the DAGON lightship? Is it still in use today? When and where was it built, what was its history until today? ?Does anyone of you live in Alaska and can help me with a private photo of the US lightship WLV 196, which is renamed to "Marine Bio Researcher" and can be found in Ketchikan today? I would like to find out more about the uniforms and other clothes worn on lightships. Does anybody have private photos of lightship crews on duty, which you would make available to me? Who knows the lightship shown on this postcard? The print says: "Princes Dock and Municipal Buildings, Hull" - but the lightships does not seem to be English. ?I am looking for photos of the unmanned lightships in the Persian Gulf, India or Southeast Asia - who can help? ?During the last weeks I had several inquiries of privat persons, who are interested in buying a lightship modell. This seems to be a war lightship. Can anyone tell me please which one it is? Who can tell me more about a lightship called "Lachtaer"? ?I am looking for Webcams that show lightships. If you know such a camera, please send me an e-mail... ?The former lightvessel LV 88 (now T.S. Lord Nelson) should have been painted blue and towed from Norwich to Hoo near Rochester this October. If anyone of my visitors comes from Hoo, I would be grateful for an up-to-date photo of the ship and any kind of news. This picture postcard shows a German lightship in the Beckmann-Werft (Beckmann wharf) in Cuxhaven. Which lightship is it? ?Who could help me with more information on the US lightship LV 88 /WAL 513? It should have been converted to half brigg BELLE BLONDE in 1982 and sold to a Japanese organization in 1988 for PR work concerning building projects and marinas on the island of Kiushu. Is the ship still in Japan? And what is it actually used for? I would also love to have a photo of the ship.
An US lightship with the writing BARNEGAT on its side. Could this be LV 79/WAL 506? The former English LV 16 is reputed to be a restaurant ship in Borstal, River Medway, Kent, England today. Is this correct? Could anybody help with more information of the history of the ship? ?I would like to write some PR for lightships. Does one of you have a photo of the former lightship Kiel (today Alexander von Humboldt), and would allow me to reproduce it (free of charge) in a newspaper report?

An unmanned lightship with the writing "Whitaker" on its side. From which country does it come and which ship is it? Another unmanned lightship with the writing "Saltscar" on its side. Is it English or maybe Scottish? Which ship is it? Which Danish Lightship is this? The writing says Laeso Rende. Is anyone of you specialized in Indian lightships? We would like to know more about this Perigee lightship. Is it still in use today? When and where was it built, what was its history until today? Which lightship could be this? The twins: Two of three Belgian "West Hinder" lightships. Does anybody have a photo done from astern on this day, that shows the numbers of the ships?
This ship is the English LV 38 "Brake" - does anybody have information about its history? ?Does anybody know whether the pilot-lightship PRACTICOS RECALADA is on duty until today. Batofar - is used as discotheque in Paris today. It is the former Irish Lightvessel Osprey. We are still looking for information about the different stations and the terms of service of this ship. Who could help?
?We are looking for everything about lightships i.e. newspaper reports, videos, photographs, postcards, books, pins etc. - is there anyone who would like to sell things like this to me? This is the Belgian lightship 1 "West Hinder I". Can anybody say on the basis of the surroundings where it lies? We are looking for more informations about the history of the ship from the eighties until 2002. It is supposed to have been rammed by a German ship once - is this correct? ? The former English lightvessel LV 12 is in Amsterdam today. Does anybody have information about stations, accidents and duty times of the ship or photos from old times? We would like to know also which further use is planned.
?Does anybody have photos of the Danish motor-lightships no. 3 and no. 4, which you could make available to us? ?The English LV 86 "Nore" lay for a long time in the St. Katherines Dock in London. It has been sold to a private owner after that, who transferred it down the river Thames to a marina. Does anyone know where it is today? Furthermore, we are looking for information about the history of the ship. There are suggestions that the ship was built 1931 or 1936. Which is right? ?We are looking for ship model builders who built a lightship model and would like to show a photo of his/her model on our webpage.
